Water Aerobics

Water aerobics provides a great low impact workout that appeals to all ages and levels of ability.  Water aerobics classes can help improve energy and stamina, strengthen and tone muscles, increase flexibility, prevent injury, build agility, and control stress.  Participants can adapt each workout to fulfill their own specific needs.  Classes are taught by certified/trained instructors.

COST: Free to Members, $12 day pass required for Program Members and Non-Members.

AQUA FIT: TOTAL CONDITIONING (ADVANCED)

Sundays @ 9-10 am

The ultimate challenge in water aerobics, this advanced level class is designed to be a rigorous water workout.  Key elements of this class include a low impact cardiovascular workout, strength training, flexibility, and muscle toning.  This class is appropriate for serious recreational and competitive athletes who do not have any physical limitations or previous injuries.

 AQUA FIT (INTERMEDIATE)

MON/WED/FRI @ 9:00am - 10:00am

TUESDAY/THURSDAY @ 7:00pm - 8:00pm

SATURDAYS @ 9:00am - 10:00am

Great low-impact aerobic workout.  A challenging group exercise class that focuses on building strength, endurance, and coordination.  This class is appropriate for competitive or serious recreational athletes.

DEEP WATER AEROBICS (ADVANCED)

TUESDAY/THURSDAY @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Challenge yourself with this popular deep water aerobics class.  This class focuses on building endurance and an intense total body workout.  Participants should be comfortable swimming in deep water.  Appropriate for competitive or serious recreational athletes.

SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING (INTERMEDIATE)

TUESDAYS @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

An introduction to basic synchronized swimming moves that focus on breath control, swimming skills, treading skills, and sculling skills.  Must be comfortable swimming in deep water.

 

WATER EXERCISE (BEGINNER)

MON/WED/FRI @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

A training circuit designed to target specific muscle groups in conjunction with a cardio workout.  Self paced and appropriate for all levels of fitness.  Exercises are sequenced to alternately challenge different muscle groups as well as enhance cardiovascular endurance. 

 FIRST STEPS TO FITNESS (BEGINNER)

TUESDAY/THURSDAY @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Great for all levels of ability, this class introduces participants to water aerobics.  It is a gentle half hour class with basic conditioning movements designed to virtually eliminate impact and joint stress.  The focus is on enabling beginners to work on range of motion and flexibility while learning basic exercises such as water walking, bicycling, and cross country skiing.  Basic stretches and strength training moves are also introduced.

FLEX & STRETCH (BEGINNER)

MONDAY/WEDNESDAY @ 8:30am - 9:00am

A low impact aerobic workout that emphasizes basic movement and stretching in an aquatic setting.  This class is taught exclusively in our warm water pool. 

JOINT MOBILITY (BEGINNER)

MONDAY/WEDNESDAY @ 8:30am - 9:00am

A low impact class designed to help relieve minor joint and muscle discomfort and pain.  This class is taught exclusively in our warm water pool.
